A tutorial for making a cabled braid that you can use to make a belt or add to other projects. You will need to use knitting needles appropriately sized for the yarn you are using. If you find it is coming up too loose then use smaller needles, too tight use larger ones. You can knit this without a cable needle and there is a tutorial on my blog here: http://buttonsandpickles.com/cabling-without-a-cable-needle-how-to/

Cast on 10 stitches Purl all stitches
K2, C4F, C4F
Purl all stitches
C4B, C4B, K2
Repeat these 4 rows until the desired length is reached.
