Cast offTo make up
Fold body in half right sides together, sew sides together. Turn the right way and pull up cast off edge so all the sts are gathered and the hole is closed, fasten. Stuff the body but not too firmly. Sew a running st around the cast on edge and pull up to gather edge until hole is closed, fasten. For neck with doubled over thread, sew a running stitch along the point where the pattern changes from Irish moss st to st st. and pull up fairly tightly, fasten. For arms and legs pull up cast off edges to gather them and sew down sides, stuff lightly and sew arms on each side and the legs to the bottom at the front just above the gathered st in the middle. Fold ears in half, wrong sides together and sew from cast on side to where the pattern starts decreasing. Sew onto sides of the head just under the stripe. Embroider the eyes and mouth under the stripe.
