Kitty Pocket Letter

If you haven't made a pocket letter for a friend yet, you should. It's really no more complicated than making nine ATCs (artist trading cards), slipping them into a baseball card storage sheet, then slipping a fun little gift into the pocket behind each card. What you choose depends on the recipient. Anything small and relatively flat can work: stickers, postage stamps, individually wrapped tea bags, cute paperclips, flat chocolate squares, sparkle confetti in a zip bag, etc. If your friend is a crafter some ideas might include tiny embellishments and supplies like brads, beads, charms, buttons, cling-mounted or un-mounted stamps, gold plated needles, folded ribbons, embroidery floss wrapped around flat spool or card, a small needle book, to name just a few. If it's a special occasion like the holidays or a birthday, most gift cards fit perfectly in the slots and are sure to be appreciated whether its a $5 coffee card or a gift certificate to their favorite craft or sewing store. On the other hand, if you're strapped for cash, you can fill the slots with envelopes of hand-punched cardstock shapes or mini-paper piecing projects you die cut yourself, make them a corner-style bookmark or some hand-decorated planner clips, and don't forget to shop your stash! You can share some of your favorite glitter or embossing powder by filling a tiny zip bag with a generous sample, wrap a few feet off of several rolls of washi tape around half an index card, or use water color crayons to make a few portable paint palettes for them. Whatever your friend's interest and the occasion, these are a fun way show someone you care.
