This project is easy to make, takes very little time and can be very useful. Not only will it hold your keys, it also has a handy pocket to carry your money, headphones, or even your TTC pass!
For the left top pocket and right top pocket, fold the straight edge ¼” toward the wrong side of the fabric. Press the folded edge in place.
: Pin the soft side of the Velcro on the wrong side of the right top pocket along the straight edge. Stitch the Velcro in place.
On the left top pocket pattern, there is a dotted line. Trace that line to the left top pocket. Pin the rough side of the Velcro on the right side of the left top pocket along the dotted line. Stitch in place.
Attach the key ring (or swivel hooks) to the ribbon. Cut the ribbon to 2”. Fold the ribbon in half with ring in between. Machine baste along the edge.
Pin the ribbon loop at the top center of the bottom pocket piece. Stitch in place.
Attach the top pocket pieces to the bottom pocket piece. - With the right sides of the fabric facing, pin the top and bottom pocket pieces together. - Your seam allowance is ¼”. Stitch the pieces together.
Through the Velcro opening, pull the right side out. Press the edge flat. And you are done!
