I have the typical life full of doors! Doors to the house, to the garage, to the cars, the truck, the post office box, the whatever... and the other stuff too. I have a heavy key chain. It always sinks to the bottom of my purse. I dig around and struggle to find them in the dark of a parking lot, or while someone is waiting for me to get the door open .... stress builds. I looked for something that would allow my keys to "float" to the top inside my purse. This little thing was simple to make and even though it "wears out" within a couple of months of use, because it is so easy to make I make a years worth at one time and keep replacing them.

1- find some cute papers and cut them to about 3 or 4 inches square or rectangle. I use old calendar pages, the decorations are pretty and I am reusing, recycling etc... 2- lamate the paper and punch a grommet into the corner or center of the lamated shape. trim the edges 3- put a small ball chain about 3 or 4 inches or so to connect to your keys. *see the photos of how the little attachment "floats" up to the top of my stuff, so I can find it right away and pull out the keys... zippy do da! just like that, even in the dark I can find them right away, without looking.
