You Will Need (6 things)
- Fabric Scissors
- Stuffing
- Needle And Black Thread
- Sewing Machine
- Orange Felt
- Green Felt
Steps (4 steps, 35 minutes)
-
1
Draw a faint carrot outline on to the orange felt.
Remember to fold over the felt and pin it so that you will have two sides.
Remember to make it a bit bigger than you actually want it.
This is to allow space for the sewing and when you turn it inside out.
Cut out the carrot.
-
2
Take one of the sides and stitch zigzag lines across it to make it look more like a carrot.
Stitch on the eyes and mouth on the same side. I used backstitch to do this.
-
3
Now, cut out a small leaf shape and cut 'leaves' all the way down both sides. Again you will need two sides for this to make it 3D. Sew down the middle to secure.
-
4
Place each side face down, sandwiching the leaves in between, and sew all the way around, leaving a gap for stuffing.
Turn inside out and stuff.
Sew up the hole and, Hey presto it's Kenneth the Carrot!
