Sorry if this is a little hard to follow. I tried to make it as clear as possible. 1st layer: 5 beads 2nd layer: 5 beads 3rd layer: 15 beads
Start with a piece of string about 5 or 6 inches long (I use stretchy elastic string). Thread on 5 beads.
This is where it gets a little tricky to explain, so please, bear with me. Loop your string around and put in through the first bead you have strung and pull it tight.
On one of the ends of the string that has been looped through, thread on one bead and loop in through the bead next to it. Do this with 4 more beads and tie it off.
It should look like this! (:
Now you need a new piece of string, this one needs to be somewhat longer then the first piece you used. Thread the piece of string through one of the outer beads, in this case, the orange bead. Thread on three beads and loop it through the next orange bead. Keep doing this 4 more times.
It should look like this. Now all you need to do is tie it off! :D You can put it on a necklace, key chain, phone charm, anything!
