First, go through all your junk drawers and grab all the magnets you would like to give a makeover.
Next, Start getting inspired! Gather all the cool pictures or images from old magazines that you would like to see as a magnet! I chose to go through my old Vice magazines since they had the type of bizarre stuff I'd like to see everyday.
Place your clippings to the side and get back over to your junk mail magnets. Now, you are going to peel off the ads as best as you can. Make sure you do this slowly because you don't want to rip the magnet in half.
Now,this is the planning stages where you see which pictures will fit on each magnet.
Tip: It helps to trace around the pictures and move it around a bit. I put my image under a light box to make sure the picture filled the correct spots.
MOD PODGE TIME! Once you got everything all cut out and matched up! start pasting the pictures on the magnets~! Keep in mind I wanted my magnets to look like papers just lingering on my fridge,so I did it with a matte look. If you want a snazzy finished look you can use a shine-y mod podge to give that "semi-pro" look. haha Once you are done, give it some time to dry and trim off the edges to make it a more finished look.
and Voila! all done up! these fugly magnets have now gone through rehab and are snazzy once again. (Fyi... the thicker the magnets the better! If you decide to use a thiiiin magnet, just warning you, sometimes they curl up a smidge. So you can just smush it under a book for a couple hours so it flattens out.)
