I tidied the wardrobe and I found some old jeans with ugly and irreparable tears in the upper area but I put them in a corner waiting for some inspiration... And voila! Here it comes! I needed something to hold some of my incoming baby millions creams and oils so I thought of recicle the sane parts of my old jeans in other ways. Hope you like it!

Description

I tidied the wardrobe and I found some old jeans with ugly and irreparable tears in the upper area but I put them in a corner waiting for some inspiration... And voila! Here it comes! I needed something to hold some of my incoming baby millions creams and oils so I thought of recicle the sane parts of my old jeans in other ways. Hope you like it!

Instructions

  1. Grab your pair of jeans. Fold some cm to form an hem on the edge of the leg then reverse the jeans. In the reversed side (if the hem doesn't last put some pins to fix it) choose the height of your organizer then, with the help of your measuring tape & chalk, make a line to sign where to cut. It's Scissors time!

After cutting off the scrap base to your organizer is time to sew. If you want (and have a nice quantity of patience and capability) you can also sew with your hands, but I don't so I put all to the expert hands of the sewing machine! (I'm also not very able to use it as well but I tried..) You can use every random stitch you want: line, zig zag,... but at the first try It turned out like this somethingliketheheartbeat (see the right part) but in the end I used both line Then the zig zag so.. I think it's the same. After sewing, grab your scissors again and clean the uncouth part as neatly and near the thread possible.

Now turn up your "sac" and make it stand using your hands to give it form. As you can see (in the right below), it will automatically form a triangle so pin it with down like this with a needle, making the internal edge as straight as possible. Do the same with the triangle in the other side.

You can also both measure the ends and sign with the chalk or directly sew along your needle if you are enough brave. I firstly sew one of the edge along the needle (line + zig zag stitches), cutted off the closed triangle and THEN used it as a guideline to sign where to sew for the other one. Again, cut off every excessive fabric to make the internal part of your organizer more confortable.

Once satisfied with your scissors, turn your ex-leg-jeans insideout and with the help of your fingers, push all the new edges in place. The new bottom should be something like this. (I know, it's aaaall awry but it was the first try)

I stitched on some little ornaments I made, like ribbons and a flower (you can also add coloured buttons, funny pins.. wathever you like to personalize yours!), then filled with baby creams and oils and.. Voilà! Two Handy Baskets done in less than an hour! (....I admit that the second try was more easy) Hope you enjoy it!
