Gather supplies. I chose owl ribbon because I though it was super cute. Feel free to get any ribbon you want. I started by washing my bangle to get any debris off of it. (it sat in my jewelry box for a few years) Washing it will make the ribbon stick better.
Next you want to decide on a pattern. Lay out your ribbon, wrap it around the bracelet. Whatever you need to do to be sure on how you want it before we start gluing.
Now it's time to glue. I used tacky glue in addition to having self adhesive ribbon. If you decide to use tacky glue make sure not to use too much because that can ruin your ribbon. After gluing your ribbon down, let it dry throughly.
After your ribbon has dried you might see that it's coming up at the edges or the inside isn't completely covered. Don't fret! We will fix this. I used a piece of card stock with cork print for the inside of my bracelet. I just cut a thin strip and glued it in place. This will cover up any exposed bangle on the inside. Let that dry now. This project can get time consuming because of how long you have to wait for everything to dry.
Now it's time for the mod podge! Using a paint brush paint the mod podge evenly all over the bracelet including the inside. This is going to seal and protect the ribbon. You may want to do multiple coats I did 3. Make sure you let it dry throughly between coats. You might have to let it dry over night.
Now you're done! you have a beautiful up cycled bracelet! Way to be cute and protect the environment!!
