Italian Easter Cookies

Easy to make.

It's traditional to use coloured sprinkles but I didn't have any so used chocolate sprinkles.

You Will Need (14 things)

  • 200 g Plain Flour
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 Lemon Zest
  • 1 Egg
  • 50 g Butter Melted
  • 4 tbsp Milk
  • Glaze

  • 1 1/2 - 2 cup Icing Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • Extra

  • Coloured Balls

Steps (7 steps, 30 minutes)

    Heat oven 150 degrees.

    Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt & zest.

    Mix together egg, butter & milk.

    Combine both lots together.

    Knead until smooth.

  5. 5

    Roll out dough to 5-6" ropes.

    Tie into a knot.

    Place on a tray.

    Bake for 15-18 mins.

    Mix glaze ingredients together.

    Pour over knots.

    Sprinkle with coloured balls.

    Serve.
