This can be served hot with ice cream or custard, or cold with a cup of tea or coffee.
It is moist & full of flavour & not too sweet.

You Will Need (12 things)
- 3 cup Plain Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Mixed Spice
- 6 oz Butter
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 4 Apples Chopped
- 2 Eggs
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 2 tbsp Sugar For top of cake
Steps (9 steps, 75 minutes)

Heat oven 190/ 375 degrees.
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, spices together.

Rub the butter into the flour mixture, to resemble fine crumbs.

Add the sugar.
Stir through.

Add the apples.
Coat in the flour mixture.

In a bowl combine the eggs & milk.
Whisk to mix together.

Add the wet to the dry ingredients.

Pour into a tin.
Sprinkle with the remaining 2 tbsp of sugar.

Bake for 50 mins until cooked through.

Remove from oven & serve with ice cream or custard.
