  8. Backpack (Use army green yarn) Row 1: 10 ch + 1 tch (10) Row 2-4: Turn around and crochet 10 sc + 1 tch (10) Row 5: Turn around and crochet 2 sc in the 10th sc (11) Continue in rounds instead of rows. RND 1: crochet an edge of sc around with 2 sc in each corner (30) RND 2-11: 30 sc (30) Tie-off with a sl.st. Backpack straps (2x) (Use army green yarn) Row 1: 20 ch + 1 tch (20) Row 2: Turn around and crochet 20 sc (20) Tie-off with a sl.st and leave enough yarn to sew the straps to the backpack. Backpack top flap (Use army green yarn) RND 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6) RND 2: 2 sc in each sc (12) RND 3: 2 sc in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th, 9th sc (18) RND 4: 2 sc in the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 15th sc (24) RND 5: 2 sc in the 3rd, 6th, 9th, 15th, 18th, 21st sc (30) RND 6: 2 sc in the 4th, 8th, 12th, 19th, 23rd, 27th sc (36) Tie-off with a sl.st and leave enough yarn to sew the flap to the backpack. Backpack button (Use army green yarn) RND 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6) Tie-off with a sl.st and leave enough yarn to sew the button to the flap of the backpack.

  9. Putting all the parts together Sew the head to the body. Sew the feet to the body. To let the panda sit, sew the feet to the front of the body. If you want to let the panda stand, sew the feet to the bottom of the body. Sew the arms to the body, somewhere at round 3 (counted from above). Fill the snout and sew it to the head, somewhere at round 17. Sew the eye spots to the head, somewhere at round 11 with 5 stitches between the eye spots. Sew the straps to the backpack. Sew the top flap to the half of the open part of the backpack on the side of the straps. Then sew the button to the flap. Now the backpack can be fastened to the panda. Put the hat on the head.

  10. Face Cut 2 circles out of white felt and paste these to the eye spots. Cut a nose out of black felt and paste it to the snout.
