Add a little light to any nightstand or desk with this easy diy illuminated globe. The copper wood and copper accents give it a slight mid century futuristic look!
Add a little light to any nightstand or desk with this easy diy illuminated globe. The copper wood and copper accents give it a slight mid century futuristic look!
Gather your supplies: - The wood plaque I purchased at Michael's craft store - The Copper wire string lights I purchase at Orchard for less than $10 - The glass globe (light fixture) I purchased at Orchard for $5 - The Wood Varnish I purchased from Orchard for $7 (but I will reuse tons more times).
Put on your dish washing gloves and add a little wood stain to a rag and spread in a circular motion on the wood plaque.
Let dry for about 20 minutes
Stick on the sticky copper ribbon to the rim of the glass globe.
Insert the copper wire lights and glue the rim of the globe then place over the plaque and let dry for 20 minutes.
Add three double A batteries to the copper string light pack and it's ready to shine! I keep it on my desk and turn it on day or night...it makes me happy!
