If I Could Have Art On A Bottle
A Simple, Elegant, Practical Painting Project from my business partner, Ann!

About
I obsess about strange things sometimes, and one thing that has bothered me for years – and I mean since the 1990s – is how much I dislike having an ugly plastic bottle of dishwashing soap sitting on the counter in an otherwise clean and lovely kitchen. I happily discovered a way to dress up an empty bottle for my counter, and it's downright simple, incredibly elegant, and relatively quick, which means you can wait until the night before and still give it as a gift.

You Will Need (4 things)
- Empty Glass bottle
- Acrylic Paint
- Clear Gesso or Workable Fixative
- Sealant Spray
Steps (5 steps, 120 minutes)
-
1
Since glass has no tooth, spray the fixative or slap that gesso on the side of the bottle you want to paint. While it dries, invent new yoga poses named after Star Wars characters. Once it dries, start painting.
-
2
Go gently in the beginning, knowing that you'll need to lay down at least four coats before you can really get going. I painted a woman, but you can paint whatever you like: A bear, a mare, an elf with a glare.

3
Continue applying layers with a gentle hand.

When the paint is dry, do at least four coats of sealant. You don't want your pretty painting to get scratched!

Fill the bottle with whatever you like - dishwashing soap, hand soap, flavored oil, whatever! Put it on display in your kitchen or bath, or give it to someone you love!
