This a quick -- and hilarious -- costume for Idiocracy fans. It takes me about an 1 and a half to make one, and they're great fun to wear to conventions! :D
Note: You need a vector-based design program like Adobe Illustrator to create the graphics via this tute. It can also be done via freezer-paper method or some other design program, also.

You Will Need (6 things)
- Iron
- 1 sheet, white
- Adobe Illustrator
- Notions: Thread , Scissors, Pins, Sewing Machine
- 4 yd red Bias Tape
Steps (5 steps, 90 minutes)
-
1
Lay your white/muslin fabric out flat, and measure 38 inches (length) from selvage to selvage. Measure 15 inches wide. Cut.
Round the edges. -
2
Cut the neck hole:
Find the center of the rounded rectangle, mark it, and then cut a circle with a circumference of 26 inches. -
3
Sew your bias tape on, following curves all the way around the exterior, then the collar area.
Stitch tape into 4 16 inch straps and attach on the sides of both front and back of the apron. These ties will hold the apron on your body.

Prepare your iron-on design. Don't forget to reflect (reverse) so text will appear properly when ironed on.
I use Adobe Photoshop and the following image for my own apron.
Use a photo of yourself, face only (preferably with a goofy expression) and desaturate. You may want to decrease contrast as well.
Don't forget "Welcome to Costco, I love you" at the bottom and the modified Costco font at the top.

Cut out your pieces and iron them on.
Bam! You're done. Drool slightly, wave to bystanders, and...you get the picture.
