Human Tooth Ring

Is it a pebble? Is it a flower? No it's a human molar. Be warned, people will look at you weirdly.

About

I had two large molars pulled out a few years ago and suddenly the idea came to me that I should make some jewellery out of them!
Everyone now thinks I am incredibly weird but honestly it is my favourite ring.

You could use any tooth, from any animal, just choose one so the base roughly fits on the circle of the plain ring.

You Will Need (4 things)

  • Epoxy Adhesive (e.g. Araldite)
  • Metal Ring
  • 1 Tooth
  • Sand Paper

Steps (4 steps, 20 minutes)

  1. 1

    PREPARATION
Get your tooth and make sure it is about the same size as the circle on your ring base. If not, try and find a different ring base with a more similar size

  2. 2

    SANDING
Get the bottom of the tooth and rub it along the sand paper so that the bottom of the tooth is flat

  3. 3

    GLUING
If you are using araldite like me, pour out a small amount from each tube and mix.

You could probably use any strong adhesive like superglue but not craft glue.

Apply a small amount onto the bottom of the tooth and press down onto the ring base.

  4. 4

    DRYING
To make sure the tooth doesn't move when it's drying, I usually get a lump of blue-tack or plasticine and sit the ring in it vertically.

    Finished!
Now to creep out people and make boys rethink their plans to ask you out.
