Description

Have you ever needed a weathered mason jar lid for a project that you were working on? Here's a easy diy tutorial for weathering Mason jar lids/rims.

Instructions

  1. These are the materials that you will need for this easy project.

  2. Use your sandpaper to sand the Mason jar lid/rim.

  3. The better you sand it the more it will weather. For this tutorial I just gave my lid a quick sanding.

  4. Drop the lid in your bowl and pour enough vinegar to cover the lid. Let soak a few hours.

  5. Remove lid and place on paper towel. As it dries it will start to age.

  6. If you want your lid to weather more, then just drop it back in the vinegar for another couple hours.

  7. Remove and let dry.

  8. Continue steps 4 & 5 till you get the desired look you are looking for. Remember the better you sand your lid the quicker and more weathered it will become.
