You Will Need (3 things)

  • T-Shirt Yarn
  • Pom Pom Maker
  • Scissors

Steps (17 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

    Make your pom pom maker.
Cut out 2 squares of cardboard, place them together and cut out a rectangle shape in the center, your finished result will look like the letter C.

  2. 2

Start wrapping around the opening of the C area, but not tight, as the cardboard will fold in on it's self.

  3. 3

Keep wrapping for your desired thickness.

  4. 4

Leave a long tail, then cut your material/yarn and thread it on a needle.

  5. 5

Bring your sewing needle from under, then over and back under to form a tight knot around your wrapping.

  6. 6

Do not cut the long tail, move onto the next step.

  7. 7

You can slide your scissors in between the 2 pieces of cardboard and start cutting your material/yarn along the top, then bottom edges.

  8. 8

Your pom pom will slide off the cardboard.

  9. 9

Before teasing your pom pom into shape, grab that long strand and make a loop for your crochet hook to fit into, then begin making a chain for the length you require.

  10. 10

When your chain is made, fold it over and slip stitch into any chain space. This will form a loop for you to hang your pom pom.

  11. 11

Your pom pom is now ready to use, hold it in your hand or hang it from a chair for your cat to play with.

  12. 12

To make the Jingle Jangle, begin with magic ring and ch 1.

  13. 13

Work 8 single crochets into the ring, then slip stitch to join. Tighten the ring firmly.

  14. 14

Make a length of chain as long as you need.

  15. 15

When your chain is made, fold it over and slip stitch into any chain space. This will form a loop for you to hang your Jingle Jangle.

  16. 16

Make your Jingle Jangles different lengths for hanging. For extra fun, sew on some bells.

  17. 17

For even more fun add some feathers!
