I have long hair and it takes a while to dry. And I hate when it drips water everywhere, so I use a special towel until I'm ready to blow-dry my hair. I used to have only one of these hair towels, and it was started to get a little worn out... I thought it must be super easy to sew a new one from an old useless towel.

The only thing you really need for this project is an old towel. My towel was 60cm x 130cm, but it doesn't really have to be that long. 100cm is already enough.
Fold the towel in half for cutting. I used my old hair towel as a model, so you can easily see the correct shape. The long side is about 78cm long and the highest part is about 27cm. Remember to leave some extra for sewing! It doesn't show in the picture (sorry!) that the right corner should be sharp. See the first picture if you don't get the idea of the whole shape from this. Draw the line you're going to cut and then cut :) Remember to start cutting from the edge, just like in the picture. It makes a nice edge for the towel and you don't have to sew it.
Cut a piece of ribbon if you want to be able to hang your towel. This isn't necessary.
Use pins to keep everything in place for sewing.
Remember to stuck the ribbon between the fabrics.
Sew! I sewed with zigzag first and lastly I finished it with straight stitch.
Try out your new hair towel and take clumsy pictures because you don't want to show your face right after shower :P
