I started doing crafts on here and then I figured one out all by myself! maybe this will inspire someone too! PLEASE EXCUSE MY HORRIBLE WRITING AND MY HORRIBLE SPELLING.

Wrap your mind around making a dress from a tshirt! lol. Got any extra large shirts just laying around the house?/ This is the PERFECT project.
Step 1: Go and purchase an extra large t-shirt. The larger the more flow to the dress I got mine at michales. The largest adult size they had at the time. I got 4 for only 10 dollars. That's 4 dresses for 10 bucks.
Step 2: cut off both sleeves. You should get two pieces that look like this:
STep 3: Take the two pieces of fabric and place them over your breasts til they fit securely on your chest. Pinch and pin if necessary. Estimate how many inches inward would fit you securely.
Step 4: lay the two pieces flat and measure inward as far as your estimation. Leave half and inch seam allowance. Take a ruler and draw a straight line across with a washable marker. Then sew along the straight line
Step 5: Try the top part on and cut off the excess if it fits the way you want it to.
Measure down 5 inches down the shirt collar. Draw a straight line with a washable marker and cut along the lines through both sides of the tshirt.
Take the collar half and measure inward 4 inches. Then take a ruler and draw a line from 4 inches to the very end of the collar
Pin the sections to both the front and back of the top and adjust accordingly. You can wear over the shoulder if that fits bette
take the strap and fold the bottom slightly on both sides. Then move down so that it lines up with the lower line. Make sure to line up the front and backe closely.
This part may become complicated. What you're going to do is take a needle and tread and do an "invisible stitch". Follow the steps below. Repeat the stitch 4 times to connect both straps to the front and back.
You should have this left unsewn. You take this and flip it inside out. and sew up the armholes. Use this stitch. Right side and wrong side do not matter since it w
take the top and lay it on top of the bottom. You will notice the two are very different widths. You have to get the top and the bottom to match.
Flip the top and the bottom inside out and pin the sides of the top to the sides of the bottom.
Note: Make sure to fold the ends upward so that when you sew them, you do not see the stitches.
Then take the middle of the bottom and pin it in the middle of the top.
Now begin to pleat. Fold two times between the pin toward the end of the pin.
then begin to sew over the folds on the top. Flip the dress over and repeat steps 13-16.
make sure to flip ends of the top o the strap and make small folds and make an invisible stich to make sure the straps dont come apart.
and flip it out and you should be done. Depending ont he straps, you can wear it straight on or over the shoulder.
the dress looks great belted. So that's how you make a tdress. Shoot me a message if you have any questions or concerns!
