These gorgeous map chairs are really easy to make for very little cost. They are also extra special, as I made them with maps that have great sentimental meaning. My husband's family is from Norway and my kids love the place so I made one with a Norwegian map. Hong Kong is a special place full of magical memories for me as I was born and bought up there, so I used a Hong kong street map for another. And finally a London tube map for the third chair, as I love London having lived, studied and worked in the city.

If possible remove the seat and back from your chair.
Decide what maps you are going to use and cut them out to fit your chair back and seat.
Cover the seat and chair back with PVA glue (or modge podge), and stick down your maps. Trim any excess.
Paste two coats of PVA glue on top of the map seat and back, letting it dry between coats. This will protect your chair, you can also cover with acrylic varnish (or yacht varnish) to further waterproof the chair.
Screw the seat and back on to the frame to finish.
