The best accessories are the ones that sparkle, no? Sequin sashes can be found at all kinds of boutique websites at an astronomical cost. This tutorial will help you create your own for a few dollars. The best fabrics for this project would be silk, crepe or satin. You'll want to use something that has a bit of structure to it, but not a fabric so stiff you can't tie it in a bow.

Cut fabric into two strips. The strips should be one inch wider than your sequin trim. My trim was an inch wide so I cut the fabric two inches wide to allow for a 1/2 inch seam allowance along both edges. Use a length of cheap ribbon to determine how long you want your sash to be. I wanted enough length to tie a pretty bow in the back. My sash was 55 inches long. I also used press-on interfacing on one side for extra stability.
Stich down each side 1/2 inch from edge. Sew one end shut at an angle. Trim excess fabric close to stitching.
Turn right side out. Press. Stitch end shut close to edge.
Attach trim to sash by stitching edges. I attached the trim about two inches left of center. That way the sash ends at the back would be even when the bow is tied.
Done.
Sparkly perfection.
