DIY time! Today our tutorial is about how to make a pouch which makes an unexceptionable gift for girlfriend or a couple. Don't know what to send as gift for girlfriend off the top of your head? This pouch with a sweet pattern of bride and groom may be a perfect alternative for you. It can contain coins, beads or some tiny things that hard to store. And this pouch also works for packing candies in a wedding. Let's have a look at how to make a pouch.
Sew the patterns Cut out a large rectangular burlywood felt with size of 24*9cm as main part of the pouch, a small one with size of 9*5cm as the flap. Cut out bodies of bride and groom with white felt and a red heart shape. Cut out heads of bride and groom and glue them on their body. Fold the large felt in half and sew the bodies on one side along the edges. Then sew some words you like under the bodies.
Embellish the pouch Sew three buttons atop the bodies with similar intervals for tying the mouth of the pouch. Fold two different bows with white ribbons and glue them on the bodies as the picture shows. Cut the bottom loop of the large bow. Overcast stitch the edges of the small felt.
Sew the front flap Sew the red heart in the middle of the small felt's bottom side and add an enough long hemp rope with one end into the heart. Overlap one side of large felt without patterns with the small felt and sew them with straight stitch.
Sew the pouch Fold the large felt in half and sew the edges with the combination of straight stitch and blanket stitch. Tie the hemp rope around buttons, you've completed the pouch.
