You Will Need (3 things)

  • Marshmallow Fondant
  • Shortening
  • Fondant Cutter

Steps (9 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

Roll out fondant in any color you want. I chose to make my roses in pink.

  2. 2

Using a pizza cutter or a fondant cutter, cut ribbons which are 1 inches wide and 8 inches long.
If you want to make smaller roses, cut strips which are thinner and shorter.

  3. 3

Fold over one corner of the strip.

  4. 4

Start rolling and continue all the way to the end…

  5. 5

    …until it looks like this.

  6. 6

Cut the end of your rose with scissors.

  7. 7

    Discard the end.

  8. 8

Smooth out the bottom of your rose using your fingers.

  9. 9

    All done!
Let these dry overnight. They will become hard or semi-hard and then place them on your cakes/cupcakes!

    Pretty easy... right? :P
