Description

For hot summer days, here's a cute and easy little updo to keep your hair out of your face. Plus, people will compare you to Princess Leia all day.

Instructions

  1. Small 103149 2f2014 07 10 061151 dsc 0059crop

First, part your hair. If you have thick hair like me, it's going to be important to make sure you're pulling the hair out and away from your face as you braid. This will make twisting it up and around your head at the end much simpler.

  2. Small 103149 2f2014 07 10 061247 picmonkey%2bcollage

Braid all the way to the end.

  3. Small 103149 2f2014 07 10 061306 picmonkey%2bcollage2

Now do the same for the other side.

  4. Small 103149 2f2014 07 10 061320 dsc 0064

You should have two adorable pigtails coming out the side of your head!

  5. Small 103149 2f2014 07 10 061350 picmonkey%2bcollage3

Next, pull one of your pigtail braids over and use two bobby pins to cross-pin it into place.

  6. Small 103149 2f2014 07 10 061507 picmonkey%2bcollage4

Repeat with your other pigtail braid, making sure to tuck it over any straggly ends from the other braid. With that hidden, cross-pin it into place as well.

Tah dah! You now have adorable milkmaid braids!
