Ever wanted a nerdy T-Shirt, but baulked at the high prices of purchasing and shipping one to your door? Never fear! I have a low-price alternative for you. This can also be used for cosplay, as I did for a Female version of Superman. Note that this is best for light-coloured fabrics.

Description

Ever wanted a nerdy T-Shirt, but baulked at the high prices of purchasing and shipping one to your door? Never fear! I have a low-price alternative for you. This can also be used for cosplay, as I did for a Female version of Superman. Note that this is best for light-coloured fabrics.

Instructions

  1. Small 104337 2f2014 09 12 123538 img 0112

Start by printing out your design in the size that you want. Place it on your cutting board and cut out all of the innermost pieces of the design.

  2. Small 104337 2f2014 09 12 124024 img 0113

Place the design on your T-Shirt (try to be exact). Mark out the corners with your fabric marker. Then, stencil the design on to your T-Shirt with the fabric marker.

Repeat this process as many times as you need.

You will end up with a design like this.

  5. Small 104337 2f2014 09 12 124241 img 0117

Get a piece of scrap paper and put it inside your T-Shirt, underneath the design. This will stop fabric paint from leaking through to the back. The amount of leakage is dependent on the type of fabric your shirt is made of.

Slowly and carefully, begin painting the design on your shirt. For straight edges I recommend using a flat brush. Take your time, and watch out for any stray bristles on your brush which could ruin your day. Patience and a steady hand is recommended.

Phew! Finally finished. Let it dry for at least 24 hours before wearing it (I wait 48). To get rid of the fabric marker, simply follow the manufacturer's instructions.
