Gather your ingredients... Cranberries...Oranges...Lemons... Cloves...Sugar...Water You will also need: A large pot...Wooden spoon...Strainer...Pitcher
Add 3 1/2 quarts water (14 cups) to your pot and then add your cranberries. Bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling...reduce heat and simmer for 30 mins.
While youre waiting...go ahead and juice 1 lemon and 1 orange. Set aside.
Slice the other lemon and orange up. Set aside.
Once your 30 mins is up...turn your heat setting to the lowest level. Now add your 2 cups sugar...your lemon/orange juice...your lemon/orange slices...and your 15 cloves. Stir well. Now just cover your pot and leave it alone for 1 hour.
After an hour... Optional-Remove a few (or all) orange slices (or lemon) and set aside for garnishing.
Place a strainer over your pitcher. Now very carefully ladel fruits and juice into the strainer. Drain completely...discard whats left in the strainer. Now just pour some in a cup...place an orange slice on top...and enjoy! *Its also good when cold...I just prefer it hot*
