This was my second attempt at sewing felt, and inspiration to make these came from: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/owl_softies I saw the owls and realized it'd be a pretty neat and simple project to try out. My hubby's dad's uncle (whew) has a collection of owl stuffs, and seeing as I hadn't thanks him for a past birthday gift, I decided to try making my first stuffed something for him. I freehanded the owl pattern on some tracing paper, cut out the felt, and used foam paper squooshy stuff for the green bit around the eyes. All sewn up and stuffed at the bottom where its little flappy feet dangle. It's not as plush as I'd hoped it to be, but since I'm still learning the kinks of stuffing felt, I'd say the lil' fella isn't all that bad.
