This is called Lekach. Tastes sweet & spicy. Great with some butter. It tastes great toasted with butter the next day.

You will need

3 1/2 cup Plain Flour 1/2 cup Brown Sugar 1 tbsp Bicarbonate Of Soda 1 tsp Baking Powder 2 tsp Ginger 1/2 tsp Cloves 1/2 tsp Nutmeg 1/2 tsp Mace 2 oz Ground Almonds 1 1/4 cup Honey 1 cup Apple Juice 3 tbsp Whisky 4 Egg(s) 1/4 cup Oil

This is called Lekach. Tastes sweet & spicy. Great with some butter. It tastes great toasted with butter the next day.

Instructions

1. 

   Heat oven 175 degrees. Mix dry ingredients together.

2. 

   Mix honey, whisky & Apple juice together. Make a well in the dry ingredients. Pour in the oil, eggs & honey mixture.

3. 

   Mix until smooth. Pour into a tin. Bake for 50 mins until cooked through.

4. 

   Cut & serve.
