The dough needs to chill for 30 mins.

You can add a little cinnamon to the Demerara sugar.

You Will Need (5 things)

  • 75 g Sugar
  • 150 g Butter
  • 200 g Plain Flour
  • 25 g Corn Flour
  • 100 g Demerara Sugar

Steps (8 steps, 30 minutes)

    Heat oven 180 degrees.

    Cream butter & sugar together

    Sift in flour & corn flour.

    Mix to distribute the butter.

    gently squeeze to form a dough.

    Knead until smooth.

    Roll dough into a sausage shape (5cm diameter)

    Cover in cling film.

    Place in fridge for at least 30 mins.

    Roll the sausage in the Demerara sugar until completely coated.

    Cut into circles 1cm thick.

  7. 7

    Place on tray.

    Bake for 10-15 mins until golden brown.

    Cool completely.

    Serve.
