I did this piñata for my birthday last year. It was very simple and fun to make. Please let me know if I made one of the steps confusing and I'll try to explain better :)
I did this piñata for my birthday last year. It was very simple and fun to make. Please let me know if I made one of the steps confusing and I'll try to explain better :)
Draw Hello Kitty or print out her face, the size you want your piñata Mine is about 10 inches tall.
Draw her face on the cardboard.
Cut out the shapes with the box cutter. You'll need two faces, One for the front and one for the back. :)
Cut out 4 long strips about 10 x 2 inches.
Glue a strip to one of the faces.
Then glue the same strip to the other face.
Do the same with the second strip.
Glue top and bottom strip to the front face and to the back face.
It should look like this in the inside.
Tie a ribbon on the top strip of cardboard to hang the piñata from once complete
cut out long strips of white tissue paper 2 inches tall and make little cuts 1 inch tall.
Start gluing tissue paper strips onto the piñata starting from the bottom until you completetly cover the whole thing.
to make the bow, roll the hot pink tissue paper 7 x 3 inches, Then tuck in the edges to make it look round. Cut a 2 x 1 inch strip for the middle of the bow and glue them together.
Cut out the wiskers and the eyes from the black tissue paper. Cut out the nose from the yellow paper. If the tissue paper does not work, you can use regular paper for this step. Then glue wiskers, eyes and nose on to the piñata
You can make a small hole on the top to insert candy. And you are done!
