I figured I would start by doing something that I thought would be really cute and denote my intense love of all things Hello Kitty. I’ve actually been meaning to do some HK/anime themed crafts, I just haven’t gotten around to it. I’m a gigantic nerd and I’m not even remotely ashamed of it.

Leaving long tail to sew to headband, Ch 13 Row 1: Hdc in second chain from the hook and all the way across (12) Row 2: Ch 2, turn, 3 hdc, hdcdec, 2 hdc, hdcdec, 3 hdc (10) Row 3: ch 2, turn, 2 hdc, hdcdec, 2 hdc, hdcdec, 2hdc (8) Row 4: ch 2, turn 1 hdc, hdcdec, 2 hdc, hdcdec, 1 hdc (6) Row 5: ch 2, turn, 1 hdc, 2 hdcdec, 1 hdc (4) Row 6: ch 2, turn, 2 hdcdec (2) Row 7: ch 2 turn, hdcdec (1) break off leaving tail (if you’re making 4) to sew together You can find the bow pattern and instructions here (http://blog.twinkiechan.com/2014/10/29/free-crochet-pattern-hello-kitty-style-red-bow-shoe-clips/). For the bow I follow the directions but actually stopped after row 10, so my row 11 is her row 17. Does that make sense? Otherwise the bow would have been way too big. I also use an I (5.50 mm) crochet hook. Construction: Sew your ears together using the long tails that you’ve left at the top. Then, using the tails that you left at the bottom of the ears, sew your ears to the top of your headband wherever you would like them. Add a tiny bit of fiber fill into your bow and the center of your bow before you sew them closed. Sew the bow at an angle to the base of the left ear. Weave in all of your ends.
