Actually Sk8t3r4lif3, it's not really hard especially once you get the hang of it. And I also have a tutorial on how to tie the knots...http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/friendship_bracelet_2_2 and I'm sure there are others besides mine too.

@ Joyce Z.--as you can see the arrangement of the threads are the same in steps 2 and 8. Once you finish step 8, you start over again starting with step two and repeat the length of your bracelet. NOTE: the colors should not be reversed meaning the heart should always be in the same color.

very clear i like the pattern too but i dont really know how to continue the heart, as i could only make one heart and then i mess up and im not quite sure of the "continue from step 2 - 8" part. the colors are reversed

Very cute! I've probably been making these for nearly 2 decades now and I've never seen the heart one. I'm so glad they came back into popularity- I love the hearts, I got out my floss as I sat here and now I am making one!

No such thing as a stupid question...when it comes to crafts, but yes you will need to strands of each color and when it's folded in half, you will have a total of 4 working strands of each color.

Hey, this might be a stupid question, but do you need two strands of each colour? Thanks xx

I made a couple of those but mine I made shorter and attached to a keyring and added heart pony beads on the top and bottom. My knots don't turn out too well when I use embroidery floss.I might try it with thin yarn. Also I messed up on one of them, but it still looks like hearts.

@ R@ch@31 G.--It's 70 inches before it's folded. Would love to see your version when it's done.

The only thing I found confusing was how long the thread needed to be, but I cut more than I thought i might need so that I didn't run out. If you could clarify though, do you mean 70 in after being folded or before being folded. I guessed before, but if after then I'm a little off. Thanks for the pattern! I'm really excited to get the one I have started finished to give to one of my friends.

Uh xX, check my how-to for the basic knots for my other friendship bracelet. If you have never tied these before, then I can't explain it to you.
xX_ThE_cRuNCh_Xx
that explains nothing, how do you do the knots, where ect???
