About
All winter I've been searching for the perfect heart sweater that wouldn't break the bank...or my frugal heart. $20+ sweater? No, thanks. I went thrifting and found this perfect long-sleeved grey sweater and instantly knew it would be perfect for this DIY.

You Will Need (4 things)
- 1 Sponge Brush
- Fabric Paint
- 1 Sweater
- Stencil
Steps (6 steps, 300 minutes)
-
1
Make your stencil.
-I tore off the front part of an old notebook and made one half of a heart.
--I'll admit, I cheated and printed of an enlarged outline and kinda went by that. [I marked the beginning and the end and curved it how I liked]
-
2
Use spray adhesive to keep the stencil from moving while you sponge the fabric paint on.
-I just went around the edges first.
--Make sure to put something between the layers of fabric so no paint seeps to the back of your sweater/shirt/tanktop
-
3
Continue sponging around the edges and flip the stencil when you get ready to do the other side.
-I forgot to take a picture of the other half sponged.
--Make sure you wipe off any excess paint on the stencil before flipping!
-
4
Fill it in!! :D
-
5
Wait 10-15 minutes for it to dry and give it a second coat.
-
6
Lay it flat and allow it to dry for at least 4 hours, and wash it inside out after 72.
-Enjoy!!
