Five easy steps to modify a shirt.

Instructions

1. 

   This was the original shirt, made up of a thin jersey knit material.

2. 

   I wanted my heart to be about the size of a piece of printer paper.

3. 

   Fold in half, draw heart, and cut it out.

4. 

   Place heart and outline with washable marker.

5. 

   Place cardboard in between the layers of the shirt and paint with fabric paint.

6. 

   Wash the shirt after a day of letting it dry. I used an old makeup brush to paint my heart, and so it has tiny little glints of shimmer in the heart.
