This is a recipe for basic biscuits which can be adapted for most kinds of biscuits!! The Double Choc Chip cookies are my favourite :) i make the basic dough then use half for normal biscuits and half for choc chip cookies. It makes about 9 or 10 of each, so plenty!!
This is a recipe for basic biscuits which can be adapted for most kinds of biscuits!! The Double Choc Chip cookies are my favourite :) i make the basic dough then use half for normal biscuits and half for choc chip cookies. It makes about 9 or 10 of each, so plenty!!
Ingredients: 125g butter , softened 70g caster sugar 1 egg yolk 1 tsp vanilla extract 150g plain flour
Mix the butter and sugar in a large bowl with a wooden spoon, then add the egg yolk and vanilla and stir it in.
Sift over the flour and stir until the mixture is well combined - you might need to get your hands in at the end to give everything a really good mix and press the dough together.
Use cookie cutters to cut your biscuit shapes using half of the mixture. Leave a bit of space inbetween biscuits as they do expand in the oven. Bake in the oven at 180C/160C fan/Gas mark 4 for 12-15 minutes.
With the other half of the mix, add: 25g Cocoa Powder White Chocolate Chips Milk Chocolate Chips and mix together.
Using your cookie cutter cut a heart shape and place on to your baking tray and flatten slightly, ammending your shape if it goes a bit wonky. Again, leave a bit of space inbetween biscuits as they do expand in the oven.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 mins at the same temperature as the normal biscuits. Cool on a cake rack and ENJOY!!
