Neat hat slash scarf for outerwear

About

Just a nice scarf . And hat if it rains or is windy. There is so many options for beautiful fabrics to use on this creation. And because I used two different kinds of fabric, it's as if there is two hat/scarfs :) So get on with it.

You Will Need (7 things)

  • 1,4 Meter Fabric
  • Scissors
  • Pattern Paper
  • Tape Measure
  • Pin Needles
  • Sewing Machine
  • Regular Thread

Steps (6 steps, 100 minutes)

  1. 1

First of all. Make your pattern. I just cut out something that looked much like the picture. Mine is 140 cm "long" (from A to B) and 55 cm "high" (C to D). Because my pattern paper wasn't large enough I had to do my pattern in 3 pieces (e, f and g).

(You probably can't see A and B in the picture, but A is the end of the left side, and B is the end of the right side)

  2. 2

Place the pattern on the fabric

  3. 3

And cut out with 1 cm seam allowance

  4. 4

Sew the pieces e,f and g (of the same fabric) together right side on right side, and also the "back of the head" (-shown with pink on the picture). Now you actually have two hat/scarfs. (Mine: One in flower fabric and one in grey)

  5. 5

Now sew the two hat/scarfs together - right side on right side. EXCEPT! Leave a small part open (shown with pink in the pic)

  6. 6

Turn the scarf around through the hole.

Now. To make a finish, sew about 0,5 cm around the entire hat/scarf - while doing this you also close the remaining hole.

    Done.
