You Will Need (9 things)

Ingredient
- 225 g Plain Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 pinch Fine Sea Salt
- 100 g Of Butter or margarine plus extra for cooking
- 50 g Caster Sugar plus extra for cooking
- 50 g Sultanas
- 1 Egg, beaten with 3 Tablespoon milk
Steps (6 steps, 30 minutes)

Mix the flour and salt together in a large bowl and rub in the margarine or butter.

Add the sugar and currants and mix well.

Pour the egg mixture in and mix until you have a stiff dough.

Roll the dough out on a lightly floured board until 5mm (1/4 inch) thickness and cut out rounds with a biscuit cutter.

Heat the bake stone or a heavy iron griddle. Rub it with butter and wipe the excess away. Put it on a direct heat and wait until it heats up. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Serve immediately sprinkled with a little extra caster sugar.
