I'm really in love with them! I need more of them! FASCINATORS! This particular one was made from 99% recycled materials I scavenged from local thrift stores! Broken bits of jewelry, feathers from from a torn evening gown, and even the paint, was bought from a thrift store! The total cost spent at thrift store: $9.56!! Amazing, right!? The very awesome recycled aspect for me was: The black "netting" is actually the outside wrapper from a tavern ham! The /only/ thing purchased new was the white craft foam sheet for the white spikey, "feathers" It's all mounted on a small wooden disc [ taken from an old wood coaster! ] And then finally secured to a once, fabric, headband that bought at said thrift store. I stripped down, boiled and bleached[ for hygiene reasons! ] before attaching the head piece to it! Make sure you try and fit the pieces together nicely BEFORE you start gluing to make sure it sits properly. Before you mount it to the headband, put it in you hair and judge where you want to attach. If your painting pieces, be sure to paint any and all pieces BEFORE you begin to assemble the head piece! And that's it! A beautiful head piece that I /always/ get good compliments about! Next time I'll take pictures in the process and post them for you all!
