This is a great way to hang up a kimono for decoration.
I decided instead of spending $30 - $50 online for a hanger, I would just make one myself.
Enjoy!

You Will Need (4 things)
- Kimono
- Long Pins Or Nail(s)
- Cardboard
- Packaging Tape
Steps (5 steps, 30 minutes)
-
1
First, find a plastic rod (or very lightweight metal rod) that is about the length of your kimono from the end of one sleeve, to the next.
-
2
Next, Cut out a piece of cardboard (in a giant rectangle) the exact length of your sleeve to sleeve measurement,(or a little, tiny bit shorter)
-
3
Then, using the packaging tape, attach the rod and cardboard together. Make sure they are fully attached and strong!
-
4
Slide the sleeves over the hanger, and pull tight so it has a straight line for the top. Pull out the neck cuff a little bit so it sticks straight up.

Then, put the kimono and hanger up against the wall. Make sure the top is in a straight line, not tilting. Then reach up through the sleeves and pin the cardboard to wall, right under the rod (or reach up through the sleeves, push a nail lightly through the cardboard, then take a hammer and hammer through the back on the kimono lightly)
