I made this for a friend's Xmas 2007 present. Materials: *printer paper *card stock *scissors *tacky craft glue *velcro *pen *large hankerchief or fabric Makes approximately 8.5"x5.5" size journal.
1)I took a bunch of copier/printer paper then cut them in half. I glued one side together with loads of tacky glue, spreading it evenly. I put some heavy books on top of the papers so they would stay together and let it sit for about an hour.
2)Then I made a book jacket with cardstock (folded) and glued the spine, applying pressure.
3)While I let the glue dry, I measured a hankerchief I got from the dollar store and covered the book with it. The extra fabric was used to create a bookmark (partially glued to the back page)and a tab with velcro and a pocket to hold the pen.
