I wanted a little something special for a friend who also loves halloween, so I made a little note for her to add in with some goodies that are going to be sent. The same design would be great for an invite and I would love to do that for sometime in the future.
I wanted a little something special for a friend who also loves halloween, so I made a little note for her to add in with some goodies that are going to be sent. The same design would be great for an invite and I would love to do that for sometime in the future.
Start off by making your envelope. This is the shape I made mine with, I marked it out on some paper and used some orange paint to give it a more halloween decorated feel.
Once you cut it out, just fold it up and use some glue to hold the shape together. On the front of the envelope I used a little red paint thinned out and spattered it in the corner to give the look of blood.
Now for the note. I wanted an aged look to the paper so I soaked it in some tea to add color.
To add in I burned the edges of the paper. Make sure to drop the paper in some water first, otherwise it will burn way too quickly. Just go slowly along the edges until it starts to burn, and decide how much you want to burn as you go.
When dry write out what you want, I simply wrote a little note saying "Tricks, treats, and ghoulish delights! Wishing you a hauntingly good halloween"
Now for the stickers, I just used what I found... not really something that makes me think of halloween but a little effort and it works.
I put a little tape over the stickers and then cut around them adding some claws. The tape made sure that it peeled all as one.
With your note folded and placed inside the envelope just seal it with your sticker and it's ready to be delivered!
