I used the basic pieces as described in the inspiration apron. I did not follow any of her instructions for construction beyond that however. Also I did not gather this apron. In brief 1st I made each part similar to how you make a pillow case so that all parts were lined in the opposite fabric. 2nd I sewed the piece that would become the pocket section between the body and its lining with right sides facing each other. 3rd I then tucked the waist band (also lined) into the resulting pocket(This part was tricky). I then sewed this shut (with the waist band sandwiched in, and the tie ends folded down and out of the way inside)all but the last 2 inches. 4th Through the remaining 2"s I pulled the whole thing right side out. Then I tucked in the raw edges and closed the reaming hole. Tada! (Oh and I added a ribbon the end of each tie.) Questions?
