This scarf was made with hand-spun, hand dyed yarn that gets thick, then thinner. So I used a 10 1/2 US knitting needle for your average bulky- yarn, and it was just perfect. With the thick and thin and this stitch (seed stitch) it really looks very textured and cool. And more complicated than it is, which is nice for beginners! This is the perfect watch-tv-while-you-knit scarf! It looks super-tight with jeans and a Navy Pea coat or a Leather too!

Cast on 13 stitches for a medium/small scarf - depending upon the yarn, You should get about a 7" wide scarf from this. If you want a wider scarf, cast on more, and be sure it is an odd number.
Row 1: *Knit 1, Purl 1* repeat to end.
Repeat this row, you will be always knitting the purls, and purling the knits. If you aren't, then you did somethin' wrong, so re-count your (very few) stitches and get it right, 'cuz this is super-easy and really rad lookin' with thick-and-thin hand spun yarn.
