Description

I had so much fun making this one! It took me so long to make cuz I hand sewed it all.

Instructions

  1. I took a t-shirt that was fitted and already fit me really well,I loved the horizontal stripes on it! I found a basic "dickie"/bib pattern online and modified the shape and pattern to my liking and cut it out from the pinstriped button down fitted dress shirt I had. I then proceeded to finish and sew lace around the edges. I cut the collar into a Peter pan shape and then finished the edges , then added lace. I took the leftover fabric from the button down shirt and cut out strips to sew and make the ruffles around the bib's edges. I then sewed some hidden snaps where the original shirts buttons use to be to close up the bib. I found some cute big pink buttons to sew on top as a faux front. I also made and added black satin ribbon mini bows between buttons. Next I cut out a small lace heart from the white lace fabric for the applique on the front,I then sewed it on. I sewed some large white lace across the back of the bib. After all the details and notions were finished and sewn on, I finally pinned, fitted and attached/sewed the bib to my cute striped fitted t-shirt. The finished masterpiece and transformation of two different old shirts into one cute Lolita piece is amazing!
