First lay out your shirt flat. Mark where you're going to be cutting with tailors chalk, or if you're a mess like I am just grab a crayon or any chalk (it will wash out in the washing machine)
Pin the cut edges back and run through the sewing machine.
Pull the bottom corners so they sort of wrap around your body. They shouldn't pass your belly button. Tuck in a bit and then pin in place. What this does is let you have a fitted shirt, have a side cut out and not have a super baggy bottom hem of your shirt.
Sew those corners into place and wear around!
