You Will Need (5 things)
- Victoria Lace Trim
- Petrune Lace Trim
- Rhinestone Trim
- Beige Tank Top or Slip from Thrift Store
- Tacky Glue (Washable)
Steps (17 steps, 20 minutes)
-
1
Gather your materials.
-
2
Lay scalloped trim (14840) on your work surface.
-
3
Cut approx 12" of the trim, followed by 16 individual segments (scallops).
-
4
Set these pieces aside.
-
5
Using your tacky glue, affix 12" trim to neckline. Due to the nature of the trim, it should mold to the v-neck shape without a problem. Place paper inside the garment to prevent glue leakage.
-
6
Affix 9 of the lace scallops below that trim, along the neckline as shown.
-
7
Lay scalloped trim (14841) on your work surface.
-
8
Cut 14" of trim and lay along neckline motif, below the trims you've just glued down. You'll notice it stands up when you shape it to the V-neck, and doesn't lay flat like the first trim did.
-
9
Clip the center of the trim.
-
10
Lay one clipped edge over the other so it lays flat. Leave 3" of trim on the left of the piece un-glued, and tack the rest down.
-
11
Position remaining 9 scallops below this trim to create desired motif (but don't glue it down yet).
-
12
Cut approx 20" of rhinestone trim.
-
13
Position rhinestone trim beneath lace trim (pull up a corner if you already glued everything down) and configure placement as shown. Glue into place.
-
14
Glue into place, and glue remaining scallop pieces down, covering the rhinestone chain edges.
-
15
Let your finished motif dry completely.
-
16
Try it on!
