Glittery Flats

I love glittered shoes and was dying to try this technique on my oxfords with Extreme Glitter-glitter Modge Podge. All went well until I went for a walk in them and they started to flake along the sides and on the top that bends as I'm moving. I did not put an acrylic top coat from Modge Podge but don't think it would of mattered. I have a pair of glittered flats from an acquaintance that are fine but the glitter is really chunked on. So: After checking different top coats out I came home and took the glitter off. It took me an hour and a half with nail polish remover, rags and a metal brillo pad.
