I made these as a birthday present for a friend. I was going to use a lemur as the animal but I chose used a cat in the end as it has a more memorable/recognisable silhouette. Personalise your shoes with your favourite animal, colour paint and colour sparkles. (Don't freak out - the time includes dry time)

Use acrylic or fabric paint to mix the colour you'll use. This is like a background colour - it will show through but not heaps. If you want to keep the colour of the flats (eg. black background) skip to step 4.
Paint the silhouette of the head of an animal of your choice. Use masking tape on the edges of the soles of the shoes if you don't want them painted.
Paint the tail, if it has one. Leave to dry. Paint another coat if desired, then leave to dry again.
Mix Mod Podge with your choice of glitter. Choose your own ratio of glitter to Mod Podge. I put a lot of silver glitter in, so the background colour is only slightly visible (it doesn't show up well in these pictures). You might like to have a less-sparkly mixture. Paint the glittery mixture onto your head and tail silhouettes.
Use sticky tape to clean up any stray sparkles.
Paint a thin layer of Mod Podge on top. You're done! Enjoy :)
